EXCESSIVE HAIR? EXCESSIVE HAIR IN THE HIRSUTISM

Having too much hair can be very disabling and lead to real psychological suffering, especially in a context where being hairless is a positive aesthetic value. What causes this excessive hair growth ? What are the solutions?

There are two types of hair

Some hairs are not under hormonal control and appear on the arms and legs (both sexes). Others grow as a result of the secretion of hormones androgens( hormones, including testosterone males, which are normally produced in women but in small quantities). They grow during puberty, under the armpits and pubis. In humans, they also appear at the beard and mustache, chest and shoulders, lower back (cleft) on the inner thighs, back of hands and feet . In young girls, some hair can be installed below the navel, around the nipples, around the inner thighs, sometimes with a sleeping bag over the lip or between the breasts. 
Note that at menopause, hormonal changes can lead to increased production of androgens leading to the appearance of hair in areas typically male (including mustache and beard). Excess insulin may also be accompanied by excessive hair growth (insulin stimulates androgen production by the ovaries).

What are the limits of normal?

But beware, the occurrence of hairs is variable and depends on genetic factors and ethnicity (Mediterranean region). Thus, excess hair or Excessive hair can sometimes be subjective and dependent on the acceptance of his hair status.But this acceptance depends heavily on our aesthetic values that currently advocated clearly hairless body.

Hirsutism is easier to define. But again, the line between hyperpilosity and severe hirsutism is difficult unless the hirsutism is accompanied by other events such as acne, alopecia, menstrual irregularities or signs of masculinization (change of voice, development of muscle mass ...). Indeed, in cases of hirsutism , the follicles hair cells (cells from which hairs grow) are subject to an excess of androgens or are hypersensitive to androgens .

What are the solutions?

A hormone assay is usually performed, and an ultrasound of the ovaries and adrenal glands (organs that secrete androgens). 
Side treatment in case of hyperpilosity if the person is taking oral contraceptives, he was offered another pill (Diane 35 ® or generic) that hinders the production androgenic ovary. Caution, however, by slowing the production of androgens (testosterone), Diane35 ® also reduces the desire, which is especially troublesome for girls aged 15-20 early in the love life ...
The hirsutism treatment also requires hormone .
The effects of these hormone treatments are not immediate (beyond 6 months) and result in terms of limiting the growth of hair , hence the interest of other types of treatments that are to destroy the hair .
Besides the draft technical (with hydrogen peroxide bleaching, waxing, depilatory cream, razor), laser hair removal achieves lasting results. It should go to a dermatologist. There are about 3 to 6 sessions depending on the target area and the importance of hair.
