Cleaning a mattress is an indispensable act. To maintain health and integrity of your bedding, consider the suction and air it regularly, and get wet.

How to dust off your mattress?

How to wash?

Use a cloth dampened with ammonia diluted slightly to clean the surface of the mattress and another to rinse with water. Then dry with a dry cloth, then with a hairdryer. Perform this type of wash in the morning in order to let the mattress air out the rest of the day.

Remember that the mattresses do not like water

If your mattress gets wet, dry it immediately with paper towels . This applies also for cleaning: avoid the liquid gets inside. If you use water to remove stains, use very small quantities and have to dry your mattress.

Let the fresh air

Leave time to time your mattress in the sun. In addition to air, you get rid of this way of odors and dust mites.

How to get rid of spots?

If you want to remove a spot of moisture, rub with a paste composed of: 

- 15 g salt;
- 30 g starch;
- 30 g of grated white soap;
- Lemon juice.

To tackle a urine stain, wipe immediately with a little water and detergent . Rinse with cold water and disinfectant. If you did not act immediately, use the 28% ammonia and a cloth soaked in hydrogen peroxide or vinegar.

If your mattress is stained with blood , wipe it with a cloth soaked in salt water or vinegar and rinse thoroughly.
