Insomnia

Insomnia can manifest as difficulty falling asleep, by periods of sleep or long and repeated during the night or by early awakening . It may be due to external factors (noise, food, medicine), or in more than half the cases, psychological factors like anxiety, stress and depression.

Sleep disorders related to breathing

Disturbance of the biological clock

These disorders, called circadian rhythm disorders of sleep, are characterized by a difficulty to harmonize its own rhythm with the external constraints (work, family life, etc..). They can cause insomnia or daytime sleepiness. The jet-lag (or time difference of the traveler) is one of those disorders.

Movements in relation to sleep

The legs syndrome Restless manifested by tingling in the legs and sometimes arms. People who have suffered constant urge to move the body parts, and sometimes involuntary movements during the night. This syndrome, also known as "restless night" leads to insomnia.

The bruxism sleep (teeth grinding) may be caused by stress, certain antidepressants and certain drugs. It can cause joint problems in the jaw, cause excessive tooth wear or blockages of the mouth.

Parasomnias
