New nipples "natural"

You already had the choice between silicone nipples and rubber teats here are 100% natural rubber. More hypoallergenic and environmentally friendly, however they last as long.

 

Rubber or silicone?

The radius of the teats, bottle or not, you can choose between:

- Silicone nipples;
- Rubber nipples (sometimes called latex).

Silicone is a synthetic product (without bisphenol A). The rubber comes from a transformation of the latex that comes from the tree called Hevea. It is more natural. However, toxic additives are sometimes involved in the manufacture of teats.

Nipples in 100% natural rubber

There has been little rubber teats or 100% natural latex. They are produced:

- Without toxic additives;
- Without the protein responsible for allergies to rubber / latex.

Unlike the usual dummies whose collar is often plastic nipples "natural" and are composed entirely of natural rubber. Where others are partly plastic.

Nipples in 100% natural rubber

More hypoallergenic and environmentally friendly than silicon

Rubber and latex also offer advantages over silicon. They are as follows:

- Cheaper;
- More flexible and therefore easier to suck.

However, they are often criticized:

- To have a taste that some babies do not like ;
- Be responsible for allergies.

Note : If you want to remove the unpleasant taste of rubber, boil the pacifier in milk for 3 minutes then rinse. You will however change quickly.

Compared to the old rubber boots, latex, nipple 100% natural;

- Is even more flexible (and therefore more ergonomic);
- Is more hygienic (because no joint, crack, cranny where bacteria may lodge);
- Is most responsible for allergy because the protein responsible for allergies has been removed from production;
- Is more environmentally friendly production and fully biodegradable.

NOTE : These nipples suction cast into a block are also safer. Indeed, there is no risk that the shield is detached from the collar. What can happen (very rarely) with nipples to suck hard collars. Especially with silicone nipple shields, which tend to harden over time (the child sucking or sucking therefore stronger).

Shorter life

A disadvantage of rubber in general is its life . Indeed, the rubber has poor resistance to time (he cracks, becomes sticky ...). Nipples in 100% natural rubber, negating any progress at this level. The manufacturers even recommend to change every month (instead of typically two months, whatever the composition of the nipple).

- Natural rubber or natural latex;
- Without compounds / toxic adjuvants;
- From rubberwood.
