Stretching: precautions

Do not force any joint stiffness or on a contracting muscle: you'll do better next time. If you have cramps, stop, breathe deeply several times, until their disappearance.

It is best to do stretching exercises at night before bed rather than in the morning upon waking. If you practice, the same day, weight training, jogging, swimming, ... place after another stretching exercises. Your muscles are less rusty, they are excited by the effort, and, after many contractions you have done previously, gestures stretching are beneficial.

It is good, in fact, extend any sports training session with a quick stretch, to avoid problems of muscle contraction that may occur over time.
