BAGS UNDER THE EYES: HOW TO GET RID OF MALAR BAGS?

The malar pockets designate pockets located very low in the lower eyelids, top of the cheekbones a bit outside. They are very common in alcoholics and that is why they have a very bad connotation. But the malar pockets are also very common in everyone over the years, says Dr. Catherine Goursac , aesthetic doctor.

Malar pockets, bags under the eyes very low

The bags under the eyes , which is designated by " malar bags "are not exclusive alcoholics. They are common in many people, irrespective of alcohol abuse among both men and women. They settle with time, as and when sagging cheeks. If malar pockets are related to advancing age, they are mainly due to poor lymphatic drainage .

What makes the treatment of malar bags?

Currently, we do not know very well treat malar pockets . However, we have provided some means of action.
This is primarily preventive measures: eat less salt, ventilate the room and apply a little cold in the morning on these areas, many instructions that stimulate the lymphatic drainage .
Then, if malar pockets more pronounced, it is recommended to perform lymphatic drainage from a beautician (a kind of massage). The lymphatic drainage is conventionally done by physiotherapists, except for the face. On malar pockets , beauticians are the most efficient.

At a later stage, we can turn to the medical aesthetics, which will perform injections of hyaluronidase, an enzyme which destroys hyaluronic acid.
Indeed, the pockets form a kind of malar edema accumulates in hyaluronic acid. The injection of hyaluronidase will decrease the volume and stimulate circulation in the area, helping to mitigate the malar pockets .

Finally, the last resort is surgery. The objective is to reposition some muscle to remove the pockets. But the operation is very delicate and very little used now.

In conclusion, it is possible to mitigate the malar pockets using relatively simple techniques, surgery being reserved for severe cases, the simplest is to prevent learning the small gestures that will prevent the lymph to stagnate. Feel free to talk to an earlier or a medical esthetician esthetics.

    1. We are talkin about malar bags/mounds, not about the classical bags under the eyes that are located just below the eyes and have nothing to do with dark circles either. Malar bags are located on the cheekbone, quite in a lower position.

  2. Peope, go to CVS and buy the silicone scar pads. Wear these for a whole weekend and every night for the next week. You will see them disappear or at least be minimized to a significant degree. It is harder to get rid of the tear lines that result from the malar bags, but at least you can shrink the bags. I have tried everything and this is what has worked best for me.

  3. I have seen my malar bags disappear. I used to use the silicone scar pads overnight, but that was not very effective. Then I used them all day for a weekend and saw great results. Now I just use them at night (except on weekends). They are a little pricey (~$18.00 per box) but you can use each one for up to 30 day if you keep it clean. I don't get that much use out of one but it is worth any penny to get rid of these bags. I think Walgreens carries something similar. Just make sure it is silicone.

    1. Wear them all day on the weekend, until and unless you go out. I swear this will work. I have suffered from these bags for so long and it has been a source of embarrassmet and humiliation for me. I promise you, this will work.I am elated with my own results. Now if I could just find a way to get rid of the "tear lines" that were created by the malar bags. If anyone has a suggestion, I would love to hear it.

  4. Thank you to all who recommended silicone scar pads! I ran to CVS yesterday and bought a pack. I put them on right away and word them all night. I took them off in the morning and my malar bags were GONE! I didn't put them on again because I wanted to see how long the effect lasted. I could see by late afternoon that the bags malar bags were back -- but to a lesser extent. So on the pads went again. My question is: Will using the pads like you recommended produce a cumulative effect (an effect that lasts longer) or will my coach turn back into a pumpkin later in the day?? I appreciate all replies.

  8. I tried the silicone pads for two nights now and they really work! I have also bought a jade roller for lymph drainage and have been using this for a couple of days now and my malar bags have reduced significantly.
