Yoga Classes: The Basics

The Hatha Yoga is practiced in small groups or with a tutor. The exercise alone, at home, is not recommended for beginners.

Bases

Group classes meet, usually a maximum of twenty people. They last on average one hour.During a meeting, the student performs mainly:
- A few sun salutations;
- Meditative postures (seated), to calm the body and mind;
- Postures on the back;
- Postures on the stomach;
- Standing postures;
- Gestures of relaxation and pranayama.

The student work

The student work is essentially following the teacher's voice to take the positions requested by controlling his breathing, without mental or nervous tension, focusing only on the activity of his body.

Hatha Yoga is held, usually in a ventilated room. We need a simple outfit and wide (not to be restricted in his movements) of cotton. It is not advisable to practice in body acrylics. It is best to be fasting.
