DARK SKIN: PROTECT YOURSELF!

The sunlight we expose all the risk of skin cancer . The dark skin who tan easily without taking a sunburn , are not spared!

Admittedly, the link between sun exposure and skin cancer risk has long been known but for the first time, a team of researchers relates the importance of solar radiation received during life and risk of developing melanoma skin cancer the most dangerous.

More than 1,600 people in Philadelphia or San Francisco, including 718 patients with melanoma have detailed their habits of sun exposure (at work, vacation, weekend ...), their ability to tan and get sunburn. In addition, depending on their place of residence and travel, the amount of UVB, ultraviolet cause suntans and sunburns (UVA is responsible for aging skin and therefore wrinkles), has been calculated for each individual. The authors thus show an increase of 10% of the average annual intensity of exposure to sunlight increases by 19% the risk of developing melanoma in men and 16% among women. So even if the risk of cancer is higher among subjects with little or no tanning, the amount of UV present in a specific location is another major factor.
In conclusion, if you leave a region of low UVB radiation for a residence heavily exposed, your skin is clear and rather dull, protect yourself from the sun: sunscreen with a high need and no exposure between noon and 16 hours!
